Since 2011 we have been driving forward our vision of a community powered marketplace for people to buy and sell unique fashion. We want to give fashion a better future, and you can help make it happen.
Since 2011 we have been driving forward our vision of a community-powered marketplace for people to buy and sell unique fashion. We want to give fashion a better future, and you can help make it happen. Collaborating with the British Heart Foundation, Depop is doing an in-person craft shop to give old clothes a new life. Here you can find clothes that fit your style and turn them into something new. Combining your favourite materials with your favourite look, create new personalised clothes and stop the buildup in landfill. Check out our "About" page for more information.
Finding Material: We will have multiple clothes for you to pick and choose from. Find yourself a base piece you like and materials and textures to go with it and make your creative vision come to life.
Get a sewing needle and start creating: Put together different fabrics and textures to turn an old piece into something new. Don't know how to sew? We'll have instruction manuals on site in case you need any help!
Add to your wardrobe: Create a piece that adds a personalised edition to your wardrobe. Make clothes you'll actually wear while contributing to a more sustainable future for clothes.
Having a clear out? We have Depop bins scattered throughout the UK as an easy and convenient way to give clothes to the craft store. If you donate enough clothes you may earn money off future Depop purchases!
By coming to the store you will be making the world of second-hand fashion more sustainable. This store has been designed to provide as little waste as possible, with any leftover scraps being sent to art houses for scrap fabric.
We are collaborating with the British Heart Foundation to stop the overflow of clothes in charity shops. Profits generated through the event will be split 50/50 with the charity.
By participating in the event you will be able to personalise your wardrobe with clothes made specifically for you. You don't need to worry about destroying your loved clothes for an idea that may or may not work, as the clothes used in the event are specifically there to be cut up and turned into something new.
